Re: Fold on fifth?
All of your comments are making me feel that there was no way I should have folded on fifth, and I didn't which is good, but cost me a fair bit of money. I simply called on fifth. On sixth he caught my Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], but I caught a J to give me a pair of jacks on the board (jack was my door card) He bet his kings and I raised with my jacks, since I put him on kings up, and I figured I had lost one out in the Q, but gained the trip jacks and aces up outs. He called and on the river I blanked, he bet out and I had to fold. Maybe I'm being a little too results oriented, but the hand bothered me after I played it.
I do have a few questions from other people's comments. On third, some of you suggested I raise, and some fold. Maybe I'm too loose, but this seemed like the perfect time to see a cheap fourth street with a hand that could become a good hand to win a multi-person pot. As for raising, I think the only one I could fold is the bring-in. Maybe it gains value on later streets if I raise now, but I can't say that I "love" my hand.
