Default UB Rake

I have been playing at party and stars for a while now... but just bought in at UB because of their 50% bonus. Do they have the worst rake ever? Its worse than Partys new .50 think because they take out .25 increments. Is UB worth playing? I play 3/6 and 5/10.

well, the rake is higher, but they do have many bonuses...high hand jackpots every couple hours, and their member points can get you some freerolls and gifts, and they even have games where you can win points instead of chips if you want tourney entries or a particular gift item.

I wonder if anyone has a way of calculating "effective rake"

Im pretty sure UB has already calculated the effects of all the variables you listed and they are making a kiling. UB points are pretty much on par with the turkish lira in terms of value. The high hand jackpot arent very expensive for them since they are constantly taken down by the micro limits.

That being said, it is still worth it too chase their bonuses.

Their bonuses make it worthwhile because you get $1 for
every 10 ub points you accumulate. It's best to be one of
the first four players in a game so you get more ub points.
It's easiest to clear by playing 2-4 or higher although the
games are not very soft when compared with other sites such
as Party. Also, with their miniview, it's easy to play the
maximum number of tables there (five) and makes it a little
easier to clear your bonus on ub than other sites. On the
other hand, once you clear your bonus, you are facing one of
the biggest rakes online!

Untrue, and their email only Customer 'service' scores low.
Also, their games tend to be quite tight.

They actually are one of the absolutely most expensive sites rakewise:

Rake table

They do have mini view and deposit-bonuses, but unless you are playing a bonus you are paying 10-20% more rake than you need to.
