TJs in LP
Party 2/4, 2 limpers to me im LP with 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], I limp, folded to Button who limps, SB folds. 5 to the flop
K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Checked to me, I bet, Button raises, all fold to me, I 3-bet, button calls. Turn K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I bet, button raises, I make it 3, and he caps. River K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I check, he bets, I call. I was pretty sure I was ahead on the turn, but had some serious doubts when that King showed up on the river. |

Re: TJs in LP
Once the flop comes back to you its now heads up poker. You have a possible flush. You can call me weak-tight if you like, but I don't like the 3 bet here, you most likely won't buy the free turn or river cards.

Re: TJs in LP
Bet on the flop is ok, but I would just call the raise. Then check-call the turn, and check-fold the river.
Why are you three-betting? You are drawing to the 4th flush on the flop, and then to the 3rd flush with a paired board on the turn. I know it's heads up, but the way the button is playing you have to believe he has you beat probably the whole way. |

Re: TJs in LP
The reason for the 3-bet on the flop was that I had seen this player raise just about every flop he was on the button. I wanted to send the message that there would be no free cards this time and that hopefully he would lay down to a turn bet.

[ QUOTE ]
Then check-call the turn [/ QUOTE ] This is way too passive, in my view. I'd either bet (hoping to threebet) or check-raise the turn. McGee |
