Playing online when under 21
Krispy's post got me thinking. I'm only 20, with 5 months to go until I'm 21. Is there much chance of me getting in legal trouble for trying to play online? I also live in California and I think maybe it's not worth the potential problems for only a 5 month wait. Anyone else play online before they were 21? I know it's a sketchy area of the law anyway, but I might not have any defence if charged with something. It's a 40 minute drive to the indian casino where I usually play and it would be nice to be able to stay home and play on the computer. All comments are appreciated.

Re: Playing online when under 21
The minium age is 18 at Party (I think). Your local law enforcement has better things to do than chase down underage internet poker players.

Re: Playing online when under 21
lol, true enough. I'm just a wuss, I think. Most B&M poker players intimidate me more than they should considering the ones I play against are usually low limit call stations. Thus my fear of "the man" is stupidly inflated. Thanks for the affirmation.

Being intimidated is part of learning the game...one night you'll have a revelation and suddenly realize you can intimidate your opponents instead of the other way around. After that it gets easier...and more fun too.

Re: Playing online when under 21
do not sign up at party and put your real age. a friend of mine did that, and when he went to cash out, they took away his account. either lie and put a false age, which worked for him and 3 other people that i know personally on other sites, or just wait the five months.
