Update
I received this email from Party a few minutes ago:
[ QUOTE ] Dear Jim This message is in regards to your posting in 2+2 Forum, where in your were discussing about a player who misused all-in protection at our card room. We regret to inform you that we did not receive any complaint in this regard. We at PartyPoker.com strive to offer the best All-in protection to our players. Out goal is to protect Players who are accidentally disconnected, while also maintaining appropriate checks so that the protection might not be misused. Our software is designed to detect whether a Player had a genuine disconnection before giving the All-in protection to him. If a Player tries to get All-in protection by simply not acting on his/her turn and getting "timed out", he/she is deemed 'Folded'. We request you to provide us the with account name who misused all-in feature. We will investigate the matter and get back to you with complete details within 24-48 hours. Regards, Raga P, Investigations team [/ QUOTE ] I have sent the email to the investigations team. |

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but someone from Party actually reads the 2+2 forums? |

Re: Update
That is the second time this week I have seen somebody admit to all-in abuse and claim that it was part of the game. How can anybody actually believe that?

Another Update
[ QUOTE ]

Often this may take several days so if they are behind do not judge them too harshly. |

Re: Update
Lol, usually it is Mike O'Malley who actually scouts the boards and defends Party's honor when possible. Mike Sexton has been here before, but did get busted for too much spam. Don't think it was intentional...just exuberant.
However, I think Jim probably mentioned in his letter that he had posted the problem on 2+2. That would account for the letter acknowledging the forum. |

Re: All-in abuse?
I've been on tables where someone dissconnects on purpose, comes back and continues to play. They admit what they did and a couple of us will yell at him. Then a funny thing happens...more than a few players will defend the all-in abuser. All the players get notes then because anyone who defends it will do it. I associated all the names on one list too. Makes me wonder if these people are dumb or are thet working together. Anyways this is why I don't play online no-limit anywhere anymore. Funny thing is I am a losing NL player, but I like to lose my money fairly and not be cheated.
