I'll probably put a little bit of money there and try the 5-10 game. I've been playing the Party 200NL and the stacks get deep enough to be interesting, but the 50BB max buy-in is still annoying. I've been watching the UB games and the 100BB max buy-in definitely makes for better NL games.

I'm probably going to put some money in there and probably play the 5-10 blinds game for a while. I'm not really comfortable playing big NL online for a whole host of reasons, so I won't be playing the big UB game for a long while, if ever. What I'd really love to see is something like a 5-10 game w/ no max buyin (or 500x BB or something).

As for the $25k, I was mainly just curious how people get $10k+ sums onto these sites. Wire transfers make sense....

If you're still considering depositing 25K into UB, I would first contact the Cashier and arrange for either a wire transfer or an ACH deposit. Either would require UB to give you some deposit info from their financial institution. Most banks charge $15 to initiate a wire tranfer, whereas an ACH depsoit (or electronic traansfer) usually is free. Check with your bank to determine what they specifically charge for each transaction. If you incur a fee for this transfer, either by wire, or ACH, I would politely ask UB if they would reimburse the expense, but make the request and get an answer PRIOR to the transfer. Most online gaming sites will reimburse such reasonable expenses which are incurred upon request.

Ask Jay also for some pointers on this game eventhu I know he played mostly at Prima before he went on his year long vacation.Stay away from RingLord.I watch this guy all the time..but he usually plays higher then what you are looking at.

This post is akin to Vehn's post about how to carry 10K+ into a B&M pokeroom.If you ever walked around with serious cash you know rubberbands do the trick at least in my experience up to about $20K in cash.If you wanna play big or have aspirations to play tha t hi ..you should at least know the routine.I dont play that high online I just scrounge out my $200-300 a day .I respect your posts on almost all things pertaining to real poker analysis..BUT this is a dumb fuugin post...

Actually, it was edifying to anyone who was curious as to how some of these guys playing in these big games get large sums of money online. A lot of people find it to be a real pain in the ass to get $500 deposited online, so one might imagine that it would be a real pain in the ass to get a roll to play in a 25/50NL game onto a site.

As I said earlier, I'm not very comfortable playing very big online. But if someone did have such aspirations, isn't asking a good way to learn the routine? As for playing live, I'm very familiar with how handy rubber bands are for large amounts of cash.
