Kings on the button
Sounds like a no brainer right?
Party 2/4, I've got black kings on the button. Haven't been at the table long and have no reads on any of my opponents in volved in this hand. The table was very loose and saw a lot of pots scooped up with some crazy cards. UTG raises, 2 coldcallers, I 3-bet, blinds fold, all call. Flop 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Checked to me I bet, all call. Turn 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Check, Check, now MP bets, I put on my skirt and just call, UTG calls, EP folds. River 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Check, check, I figure MP was making a play by betting the turn so I bet, now UTG check-raises me, MP folds, I call. Should I have raised the turn? Should I have checked the river? Like I said it wouldn't have surprised me one bit if MP showed 73o or something stupid so I figured it was best to go into call down mode. I also didn't think a raise would drive anyone out. There were multiple players going to showdown just about every hand. |

UTG shows pocket 8's for the rivered boat. No idea what MP had.

Re: Kings on the button
I would have raised the turn. Hopefully you can push the UTG out. MP1 could have picked up a flush draw, dont automatically but him on a three.
The way it played out, you played the river fine. Wait a little longer to post the results next time |
