Interesting Conversation with Neteller
I attempted to login to my Neteller account to see if they received a pending cashout and got the following message: Due to certain circumstances your account has been closed. Please call.......
So I call the number and they connect me to security who verify my identity then we have this conversation: NT: Have you recently moved ? Me: No NT: Have you recently tried to login to your account using a different computer ? Me: I have two computers at home that I use, but other than that, no. NT: OK...We are showing that the last three times your account was accessed it was from an IP address in Canada. Me: That wasn't me if it came from Canada. NT: Have you tried to access you account recently ? Me: Yes, about 30 minutes ago. NT: OK...for some reason we are showing that IP address originating from Canada. Me: The one from the last login 30 minutes ago ? NT: Yes...I will overide that IP address check so that you can login. Me: OK thanks. NT: I show your account does not have a social security number attached to it. Would you like to add it to your account ? Me: No, I'd rather not. NT: OK, that's no problem since you already have an account with us. Me: Thanks. NT: Wait about two minutes then you can login to your account. Me: OK, thanks for your help. NT: You're welcome Although I wasn't happy about my account being locked, I can understand why they did it. The Security Rep. spoke English, was polite and resolved the problem immediately. It's good to see that they are paying attention. SF |

Re: Interesting Conversation with Neteller
what the hell, u dont need a social security # to sign up with neteller?
the reason i use firepay instead of neteller is because u dont need to give a social sec. # for firepay. |

Re: Interesting Conversation with Neteller
I got something similair a couple of weeks ago. I logged in my Neteller account and i couldn't get into my account. They ask me to call security. I did and they saw that somebody from a different ip adress, tried to log in my account. So they locked my account..but within a couple of minutes i could back in my Neteller account..
They only thing i was thinking of....who tried to log in my account? Lucy? |

Re: Interesting Conversation with Neteller
Same thing happened to me months ago; apparently, they
claimed that an IP from the Phillipines was detected when attempting to log into my account. But they cleared up everything in a few minutes and everything has been okay since. |

Re: Interesting Conversation with Neteller
These guys are not to be screwed with. I went from 4 Neteller accounts to one, in my real name. They have gone to great lengths to coordinate information and weed out the folks that play fast and loose with online identity.
Firepay accounts, on the other hand, are up for grabs. |

I'm not sure what their current policy is, but when I signed up, Neteller did not require a SSN. SF |
