Default Paradise Multi-tables?

So what is everyone's first impression of how Paradise's multi-table tournies has effected normal ring games? Anyone notice any difference? What does everyone think of the tourney format and software? Is there alot of dead money in the tounaments? I am looking forward to hearing your opinions.

Love:
The software, lobby and smoothness, and even the "exploding" bust-outs.
HATE:
The fact that they need feel the need to hide the rake.

Actually I don't think they are charging rake right now. But when they start it's only 9% as opposed to the 10% everyone else is charging.

The software is good and the players are typically clueless as Party and Stars in the sub $50 range anyway. I still like Stars software a little better but this is a close second.

They have been drawing a crowd though. The last 2 nights the 20K gaurantee tourney has drawn 1400+ players. The 15 minute levels are fine but I played in a $10 turbo format this afternoon (6 minute levels) and it was a pure crapshoot. Luckily I cashed in it

The thing I like better than Stars is that there always seems to be something in the $10 to $50 buyin range happening. Stars has a crappy schedule and they would benifit (I think?) by adding more tourneys in this range.

They are (and allways have) charging a 9% registration fee, I have e-mailed to them and asked. I was told, that they don't feel the need to offer their tournaments as a xx$ + x as everyone else does.
I also feel it is a strange way to do it, as if they were trying to hide the registration fee, but you know Paradise, when they have decided something, it is like talking to a wall.

obviously.

But is the prize pool $30 x number of players or is it less?

The prize pool is (30$ x registered players) - 9%
in other words it is a 27,30$ + 2,70 tournament.

This is where I am confused? Right now the $30 has 1383 registered and a prize pool of $41490. 1383 x 30 = 41490 so it looks like nothing has come out?

If you add up all the prizes, you will see that 9% of the money is missing.
