Default Party 2/4 compared to Party 3/6 ???

Any experience? I'm considering moving up soon because the bank has reached more then 2K. SO far I have seen ZERO difference between .5/1 and 2/4.

What about 3/6

Check some of the past posts on here, but from what I have seen and read is 3-6 is more aggressive than 2-4, there are more(usually) 3-6 games though, the speculation, is that in a casino 3-6 is usually the smallest game spread and that the online drop-by's start there not knowing that the 3-6 online is usually tougher than 3-6 B&M.

no difference between .5/1 abd 2/4?? anyone have any thoughts on this.
i have noticed the quality of play increase a bit at each level.

only limited experience at 3/6 but i found it to be marginlly stronger than 2/4. however, if you practice good table selection then i have no doubt you are finding games equally loose at each level.
i do think as you move up you are more likely to land on a table where it actually gets folded around to the blinds...when that happens at 2/4 on party i know i can find a more profitable table. i've never seen that happen at .5/1 though.

i too will be trying the 3/6 a bit more frequently i suspect. we'll see how it goes.

Well - OK - a little harder at each

Preflop at

.5/1 was 44.86
1/2 was 39.51
2/4 39.03

so it DOES get tougher but really - not THAT much

The blind structure at the 3/6 encourages a tighter game than at the 2/4. Otherwise the games seem fairly close to the same. Personally I like the 2/4 game more, it just feels like a sweet spot.

preflop they are about the same but 2/4 postflop seems alot better to me. however thats not saying much. if you can beat .50/1 consistantly you can beat 2/4 no prob. i havent played 3/6 yet though so i cant help you there.

For the most part, I agree that there is very little difference between .5-1. I have seen a noticable difference between 2-4 and 3-6. 3-6 is much more aggressive IMO.

This is also the limit where you start to run into more "internet pros"

Default my experience

i agree with other comments; difference is barely noticable. you'll a little more raising, a little more check raising but not enought to scare you off. you will notice larger stacks by the serious successful players.

since august i moved easily from 2-4 to 3-6, but now the jump to 5-10 is a LOT tuffer. a lot fewer see the flop, more re-raising and check raising...actually need to think.

But also "raving lunatics."

I've seen more crazy play at 3/6 than any other limit (though I only play up to 5/10).

.5/1 -- well, it is what it is. I played a lot of hands there before moving on.

1/2 -- Actually, I spent a few hours clearing Party's bonus here. I found this game to be similar, or maybe slightly tougher, than 2/4 right now. But, this was a really short stretch of just under 1,000 hands, so who knows. And I may be ifluenced by crap results...

2/4 -- Tighter than it once a while back, as everyone has noted and written about, but the real key here is passive. There are players who just don't seem to find the "raise" button, and you wonder if they're playing an older version of Party software that left it out.

3/6 -- Yeah, some good players here, some wackos, but the biggest difference is how agressive it is. The blind structure is no good though.

5/10 -- Not too much experience here, but it plays tighter but more passive than 3/6 in my opinion. The full ring tables seem to be short on absolute maniacs, I've heard those guys gravitate to six-max.

Just my opinions....

By far, the truly crazy players are at 15-30. If you don't believe me, read this post.
