Hi Prince,
Regarding your question, leading on the river is right. Most opponents would only bet a flush on the end.
But I think you made a mistake on the flop, and no one else has mentioned it. That is, you bet into the pre-flop raiser, who did the expected; he narrowed the field. Further, with that flop, most EP raisers would've auto-bet, so your chances of getting a check-raise in there were sky high. A flop check-raise could've easily gotten you 2-6 more SB, with most of that money coming from the fishies who were likely drawing dead if you hit. Now, it would've hurt your action on the turn, but you can't know in advance that he'll go off when you make your flush. I will say that by playing your draw backwards (encouraging a small field) on the flop, you probably fooled a pretty good player into giving too much action with top set. But I still prefer to trap the weak players, thus getting DEAD money into the pot.
Nothing wrong with your turn play, IMO.

Hey E - First of all I hope you don't include me as one who was being nasty - I try hard in life never to be nasty to anyone (I do this because of who I want to be not because of anyone else).

As for the strategy - in this case we'll just have to agree to disagree. That said, I appreciate your input because it makes me think. Whether we agree or disagree is to some extent irrelevant as long as we keep an open mind and keep trying to learn.

Merry Christmas (I've given up being politically correct and saying Happy Holidays - I celebrate Christmas, no offense to those who don't but I say Merry Christmas because that's ME).

The WPT is going on so it's jammed to the tits in the poker room.

That has such a great visual, on several levels...

I sit in a dynamite 30-60 game. Just the right combination of fish/knowledgables at the tables.

I'd love to hear what exactly the right combination of fish/knowledgeable players is.
