Default St. Croix trip report (short)

The St. Croix casino in Turtle Lake, WI opened a 3 table poker room one week ago. Yesterday afternoon I went over to check it out. They have 3 tables, and so far spread 2-4, 3-6, and 5-10 hold'em only. Rake 10% capped at $4. No jackpots. Smoking permitted, but the smoke was not at all bad, barely noticable. The poker "room" is seperated from the rest of the casino by a woodden (or fake wood) 5' wall. They had a 2-4 and 5-10 game going on a weekday afternoon. I took an open seat in the 5-10. One player in the game I knew from Canterbury, other than him there was one other decent player, the rest were passive calling stations. We were six handed for much of the time and the game broke after about 2 hours. Atmosphere was very laid back. Ok room, nothing worth going out of your way for, IMHO.

Only interesting item of note, the dealers were trying to organize a home game, and invited any interested players. Never seen that before.
