Default A couple of hands against a LAP.

UB 3/6 loose (46% seeing flop) but very agr. Lots of pf raising, but way too much calling or reraising with hands that shouldn't be. My main opponent in both hands is loose and by far the most agr. player at table. I've been finding lots of games like this recently at UB. Anyone else notice this? Any ideas why? These hands happened with one hand in-between.

I'm in sb with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

UTG + 1, MP1 (LAP) and co limps, I call, BB checks

Flop : A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Checked to UTG+1 who bets, LAP raises, co 3-bets, I cap, only LAP and co call.

Turn : A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I bet, LAP calls, co folds.

River : J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I bet, LAP raises, I call. What did LAP have?

Hand 2 :

I'm the co with A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Same LAP limps UTG+1, folded to me, I raise, only LAP calls.

J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

LAP bets, I raise, He reraises, I call

Turn : A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

he bets, I raise, he reraise, I cap, he calls.

River : 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

he checks, I bet, he calls.

What did he have?

My guesses:

Hand 1:
That he's got like KQ. He was betting with second pair to start, afterall, he is lag. When the turn comes he gets scared so he just calls. Then the river comes and he gets his straight so he bets out.

Hand 2:
He's betting and raising every street. He could have flopped the straight. If he didn't then he should have slowed down after the turn made a one-way straight draw. But then again, he's lag, so he could have had two pair or three of a kind and been oblivious to the made straight.

Just my two cents. Its tough to read a lag players hand when they bet and raise with marginal stuff. It leaves a large range of hands.

I know it will be hard to get this correct (BTW, you did very well on one of the hands but was way off on the other). I also thought they were interesting hands in general. I have trouble with LAPs. Does anyone think I was too aggresive here?

Hand 1 looks good. It appears CO is trying to isolate the lap on the flop so he is probably rasing light. Did you consider one more raise on the river?

Hand 2 looks overaggresive to me. He flops an openend with a T. Pumps his draw on the flop, makes it on the turn, fears the flush and checks the river.

Yes I considered raising the river. I thought we were most likely spliting the pot, but since he might have a boat, just calling seemed best.

Hand 1 : LAP had KQo and we split pot.

Hand 2 : He had Qh2sp and I have no idea what he was doing.
