Party NL 100 (6 max)- 76o from the blinds
Reads: Villain is 32/6 after 46. He seems like an average player who will go broke with TPTK and overpairs. He just lost a big pot with TT to AJ on a board of J955x. He check-called the flop, check raised the turn, check check on the river.
I hadn't played with him enough to know how he bet his draws, but it seemed to me his weak lead indicated a OESD. How does everyone else play it? Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (6 max, 6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx UTG ($70.15) MP ($154.65) CO ($151.90) Button ($385.40) SB ($76.47) Hero ($112.80) Preflop: Hero is BB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Re: Party NL 100 (6 max)- 76o from the blinds
Well, you had to raise the turn get the possible diamond/straight draws out. That 1/3 pot lead requires a raise.
Obviously you're calling his push given odds, too bad you didn't fill up. Looks like a flopped straight now. |

Re: Party NL 100 (6 max)- 76o from the blinds
Ya, if he has a better hand than me, it seems like I'm going broke no matter what. I have to raise the weak lead due to draws, and I'm priced in to call his push.
Judging from the lack of replies, I'm guessing this is a boring post. Should I try to find more interesting/harder hands to post? If anyone cares, he held K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and took it down with a higher two pair. |

Re: Party NL 100 (6 max)- 76o from the blinds
I don't think you did anything wrong here. Maulik is right, you hafta call the push given the odds. You also have to raise the turn cuz that is a weak-ass bet by him. This is a situation where reads would help tremendously so you knew what his standard bet size was relative to the strength of his hand. It's a tough one because his hand range is basically everything preflop. I'm probably going broke with you on this one, given the way it played out.
Sorry I didn't provide a ton of insight here, but at least it'll top the thread! |

This is pretty much exactly how I'd play it. (not sure if that's a good thing though )
