Slowplaying bottom set with 2 suits on the flop
Here I took a turn from the normal pot-flop, push turn kind of play. In retrospect, yeah... I should've bet out etc. But I'm not sure it would've had the same effect. Normally, I don't slowplay with draws up.

this might sound kinda silly, but I was getting no action through fastplaying it on drawful boards.

Re: Slowplaying bottom set with 2 suits on the flop
Never slowplay on a suited, coordinated board, especially when it's raised preflop. You should be happy to take down a raised pot on the flop. At the very least you must make those on the draw pay heavily.
In this case, someone raised, most likely a continuation bet, but there's $7 in the pot. Raise it up and hope he's willing to put his stack in there. If he folds, you just won a nice sized pot, and that's nothing to be unhappy about. |
