well, the way i see it, the condition for a successful overbet is that it has more value than a standard value bet. To do so, the following should be true:
a) you're very confident in having the best hand
b) your opponent probably will call an overbet often enough to make it worthwhile
-either he's got a very good 2nd best hand, or he's an idiot with a "good" hand

In this hand, condition A is met, but I see no reason that B is. He's shown no strength in the hand so far, and even if he made his flush, he might fold to an overbet on the doublepaired board.

Save the overbet for KK on a KQJTT board, when you know this dude will call with Ax.
