You say you play for a living (while your in college) but
you have absolutely the wrong attitude to "play for a living." Your upset because you won $300 in an easy game? Let's see you get an A+ for game selection. You get an F for leaving a game you had the best of it in. Another F for not having the poker heart to take every dollar your opponents put on the table. Good luck on the sports Medicine, it might be a better path for you. Not trying to be nasty or anything it's just that that kind of opportunity does not come along all that often. |

I play at the casino 3 nights a week on average...I payed tuition this year with poker money and live off the money I make on poker during the year...Over the summer I play less and work a "real" job...I don't by any means consider my self a professional player...I do make most of my money on poker though...
You really don't understand how bad these guys were though...Some must have never played poker in their life...These guys all could not afford to lose the money they were throwing away...Put me back in that room again and I might have stayed...It was in a church though...I dunno I think I rather grind it out at foxwoods |

It is not up to you to decide if they can
afford to lose the money. They will become better players by just having you in the game. Make them pay for the lessons. And it is no different in the casinos. They would have taken your money if it had been the other way around and they would have been right to do it. Congrats on paying the tuition from poker winnings. |

Stay in the game clean them out and if you are feeling guilty, donate 10% of what you win to the church. I myself would not feel guilty but would make a donation.

I'm with Bunky here, I wouldn't feel bad about beating the game, but I would give a donation to the hosting church.
As far as people not being able to lose the money they're playing with, everybody is responsible for their own finances. The only reason I might softpedal is if this was a recurring event, and I wanted to hit it again in the future. |

If you don't want to seem like a shark just ripping them off, then give them what they really want: A fun game. Stick around and splash the chips around right along with them. Offer a little help here and there (but not as to strategy, they don't want to think about that). Try to have a great time along with them and give back some excess action. You'll make the money all the same (if not as quickly), and probably be invited back next time.
