Re: AK Overcards on 3 Suited Flop
It looks like about 12.5% equity against some loose players that play all suited connectors, all Axs, and a few 1 gaps.
The thing I didn't understand is that I gave the 3 other players the same exact profile, but they got 34% 34% and 18%. Why aren't they equal. |

Re: AK Overcards on 3 Suited Flop
Hmmm...I think you did something wrong.
I am just talking preflop here, with no cards on the board. Our hand is AKo villains have likely A2+, 22+, 65s+, any 2 broadways, K8+, K7s+, J9s, Q9s. Our equity should be much higher than 12.5% in this case. EDIT: I think this is probably still a fairly tight range too. |

Re: AK Overcards on 3 Suited Flop
3 betting AKo in this situation is totally standard. That is if you like money. You like money don't you?

Re: AK Overcards on 3 Suited Flop
It's taking forever to run, but it looks like 25% give or take. I could be doing something wrong though. I don't know what.

Re: AK Overcards on 3 Suited Flop
Either you didn't run the equity Monte Carlo. Or you didn't wait long enough for it to do all possibel combinations.
This is what I got. Text results appended to pokerstove.txt 63,136,365 games 750.238 secs 84,155 games/sec Board: Dead: equity (%) win (%) tie (%) Hand 1: 38.5261 % 37.59% 00.94% { AcKd } Hand 2: 20.4890 % 19.56% 00.93% { random } Hand 3: 20.4930 % 19.56% 00.93% { random } Hand 4: 20.4919 % 19.56% 00.93% { random } I assume thats what you're looking for Brad. So it's a deffinite 3 bet. With No read on villans I went completely random. Given the PFR I think our equity goes down a little but I have nothing to tell me what this guys PFR range is either. We almost allways have more then 25% equity. However after this flop we go to Sxxt. Text results appended to pokerstove.txt 28,090,394 games 139.420 secs 201,480 games/sec Board: Jh 4h 7h Dead: equity (%) win (%) tie (%) Hand 1: 13.7613 % 13.07% 00.69% { AcKd } Hand 2: 28.7567 % 27.83% 00.92% { random } Hand 3: 28.7290 % 27.81% 00.92% { random } Hand 4: 28.7530 % 27.83% 00.92% { random } Against 3 our equity is dead and we should probably c/f. Though I ussualy put one more bet in hoping everyone folds. |
