Re: Anyone else think Paradise\'s Gift Tree is rigged?
yeah. that was a good one (I think I posted that one).
So are you saying that the first winners had a choice of any of the above and chose the cheapest one? I don't know how this promotion works but I can't see why anyone wouldn't take $25k in cash. What am I missing regarding this promo? |

I'm pretty sure the gift you win is random, or pre determined...I don't think you get to pick. But I could be wrong.

Re: Anyone else think Paradise\'s Gift Tree is rigged?
There is a graphic on their site of a tree with presents underneath, each with a number. Apparently if you win the freeroll a rep contacts you to pick a number.
I found it funny that some of the presents were very distinct, like the large square box and wondered whether it was a bit like Indiana Jones and the Last crusade. The 25k would be in the crappy looking box. Granite |

If we assume that the person at paradise who designed this wasn't very creative...
There are 8 Masters Pize packs to distribute among 15 numbers... maybe that prize is all the ODD numbered boxes Picks so far... 3,7,11,13 |

The 5th winner picked gift #1 - another $2K package. [/ QUOTE ] Well, there are 15 "gifts". 8 of them are the 2K tourney entry prize, so so far the unlikelyhood of 5 in a row comes to: 8/15*7/14*6/13*5/12*4/11 = ~1.865% chance of this happening. |
