Re: Reraise AK
On the first hand of the tournament, I think this is a pretty easy call on the flop. This guy is an unknown who just cold called an EP raise then pushed the flop. So he has A) a monster, B) he's overplaying something like AQ or AJ, C) he is a maniac. I think the fact that this is the first hand makes it more likely that it is B or C, if that makes sense.
Preflop I think a reraise is OK, but it's not really for information or to find out where I am. It's b/c I think I have the best hand, for the same reasons as above. I mean are you folding if you reraise and UTG pushes? |

Re: Reraise AK
UTG showed A6 (go figure), UTG+1 showed T8 (go figure).

Re: Reraise AK
Do I get a sweetie for guessing utg+1? Can't believe that UTG called but UTG+1 was likley to have two pair and was trying to close the hand down.
One presumes he's just a fish but if the cards were suited he may be expecting the UTG call to be protecting him from a raise behind. Of course, if you'd made the standard raise he should have folded (but then maybe he would have persuaded himself to call for value) and you would have had all of UTG's chips. |
