what is partypoker.*NET* (vs .com)
Got through reinstalling everything on my computer and went to download Party again, and the dang thing wouldn't recognize my user name or email or real name. Then I realized it was .net not .com, even though the screens look about the same and it had a poker download and everything.
Had a bad 5 minutes when I thought it might be a phishing site to steal user names and passwords, but on looking closer it appears to be some kind of non-gambling poker site - play money and tournament games only. What's the deal? Party trying to fool some people into thinking they quit taking real money? |

Re: what is partypoker.*NET* (vs .com)
It's so they can advertise on TV. They can't advertise for gambling sites so they have to have a .net to advertise for. Everyone forgets the .net part and goes to the .com anyways.

Re: what is partypoker.*NET* (vs .com)
online gambling illegal in USA - .net is "play for free". if a citizen then chooses to break the law, it's not .com's fault.
sneaky, eh? thats what lawyers are for |
