Best bet... sign her up on a clean computer.

Once signed up it won't matter what computer she plays on.

I was just pm'd by an affiliate stating that I would not need a new computer. If I just signup and use the correct affiliate code with the new account it will be linked to the desired affiliate, meaning it will not be under the old affiliates tracker.

Can anyone confirm this?

I think you will find as soon as you try to sign up on the pc with party on it already a pop up will appear saying "it appears you already have a party account on this pc blah blah blah"

I have registered several hundred players on my pc and have never had a problem. Nothing has been changed in my registry either. The only problem I have is that if I try to sit in a room with one of the players I've registered, I get a popup telling me I can't.

Back when I wanted Empire, I followed the regedit trick to the letter of the law and it didn't work. I still got the message you just indicated. I'm not sure if it's my computer or windows XP or what. Does the regedit trick still work?

Ended up needing a clean computer in that situation. Problem is, I'm running out of clean computers.

One clean pc that you can re-install xp on each time will work, as long as you don't use it for anything else.

Hmmm, so you're saying that I need to uninstall XP as well?

You weren't that clear, or I didn't fully understand you. My PC came with the XP software on it and I don't know if I could reinstall it.

I appreciate your help in this matter very much, btw.

Well if the reg edit doesn't work i guess a fresh xp would, that is all i was thinking. But from the sound of it some people don't have this problem at all.

I do know that party also puts an ID code in other places on your pc apart from the registry, but where and how i do not know.

Another option is to mirror the hard drive of the clean pc and save the mirror image as back up. Then install party, when finished restore the backed up mirror image, so essentially you have a clean pc again.

cheers
