5/10 NL, Played right? Set of 6\'s
I give villian credit for being a solid player.
Did I play it right? 4 handed. Seat 3: HERO ($2,442.75) Seat 6: VILLIAN ($1,038) *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to HERO [6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]] Hero calls $10 BUTTON raises to $30 SB calls $25 BB folds HERO calls $20 FLOP: [POT: $95 ] [2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]] SB checks HERO checks VILLIAN bets $40 SB Folds HERO raises to $125 VILLIAN calls $85 [POT: $350] TURN: [2h 6h Kc] [9c] HERO bets $310 VILLIAN calls $310 [POT: 970] RIVER [2h 6h Kc 9c] [4h] HERO bets $580 putting villian all in. My reasoning: If the flush hits, I'm still going to call an all in bet right since it's half the pot? So why not put him all in to get value if he has a king or something. |

Re: 5/10 NL, Played right? Set of 6\'s
I like to lead flop here, builds a pot quickly, sometimes guys even raise me with air. If I think he'll stay the aggressor, I just call a flop raise, and checkraise allin on the turn. I think you're checkraise on the flop will let better players off the hook. As played, I like your river line.

i prefer leading at the pot
if i check-raised, my raise would be bigger. prolly pot...$215 or so. |

Check/raise flop for full pot or more, then you can push the turn without having to make a huge overbet.
I too prefer a lead at the flop. |
