Was I beat, or just bluffed???
This was on Party $25 (.25/.50) NL last night.
I am in EP ($60) with KQd, I limp, three limp behind, SB calls .25, BB ($115) calls. Pot $3 Flop is: K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] SB checks, BB bets $2, I raise to $4 (poor choice?) everyone folds, BB raises to $20. I call (poor choice?) I thought about going all-in here, but was really unsure whether he had the AJ, a flush draw, or two-pair. Pot $43 Turn : J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] BB goes all-in $94 Do I call?????? |

Re: Was I beat, or just bluffed???
It's sooo easy for him to have an ace, I think you'd have to be nuts to call here. I can't see him going all-in without an ace. If he did, well, more power to him. I just don't see it.

Re: Was I beat, or just bluffed???
facing the $2 bet, raise more. remember that a ton of turn cards are going to sap your betting power, if not beat you. these include any 9, T, J, A, or spade.
facing the $20 raise, your plan should be one of: - fold now. - flat call, and go all in on the turn if a blank hits. - go all-in now. i really don't like a call on the turn, even though it isn't impossible that you have the best hand. if he did bluff, it was probably because of the implied weakness of your flop min-raise. |
