Re: Chapped lips.
burt's bee's is good. so is shea butter. i find shea butter lasts longer, but burt's bee's is more satisfying to use.

[/ QUOTE ] I agree, I've been outside pouring concrete in sub 30 weather all week and my lips are on-point right now because of this stuff. I love the tingle, makes me think it's actually doing something. |

Re: Chapped lips.
I swear by Dermatone lip balm. It's quite a bit less habit forming than other balms because it actually stays on your lips for a long time, so you don't need to carry it around with you and constantly be re-applying. It's light years better (and is marketed for) use when skiing or otherwise facing the elements.
Carmex is medicated and does a great job to ease the burning sensation of chapped lips but is so wet and oily that it wants for re-application after 15 minutes or so. Burt's bee's would probably be my third choice in balms and, like carmex, seems to be a little addicting. I run in fear from all chapstick products. |

Re: Chapped lips.
The idea that Carmex should be avoided because it's addicting may be the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
It's [censored] lip balm, not heroin. |

Re: Chapped lips.
Dependance on lip balm can happen. Hypothesis: If you use it too often, your lips wont develop their own moisture as well.

Hey don't get all worked up there, it's just lip balm. And second of all, that's not what I was trying to imply.

a humidifier just seems like a mold machine to me [/ QUOTE ] It certainly can be if you don't replenish the water tank with fresh water frequently as well as swap out the filter every once in a while. As long as you do this it stays nice and clean, and will really take care of chapped lips, dry skin and other conditions resulting from low humidity. Swede |

I've heard that line used a lot before, is all. Like, every time it comes up... there's always someone who says "OMG CARMEX IS ADDICTIVE YOU SHOULD NOT USE IT." |
