Final Table: 3rd in with AQo??
Final table of an invitational freeroll for a 2006 WSOP 1k event prize package (travel + entry). Winner gets it, 2nd on back gets nothing. 62 started, we are down to final 5. Stacks before hand (about 7 minutes left at this level):
UTG 3.5 BB's MP 22 BB's Button 7 BB's SB 12 BB's Hero (BB) 6 BB's UTG pushes, 2 folds, SB pushes, Hero does what with his AQo ??? Yeah I'm short, and I gladly call one all-in here....Do I have enough behind to fold this or do I have to gamble here, because my gut says if I call this I am likely behind. |

I call in a second. Blinds are coming way to fast, and remember, you have to win this thing.

Re: Final Table: 3rd in with AQo??
UTG could be pushing with practically any two, SB could be isolating with a wide range and since it's winner take all and you're shortstacked, it looks like a good time and good hand to gamble with.

Re: Final Table: 3rd in with AQo??
i would deffo call here.
at current level ,you have 6BB. if you call and win ,you will have something like 15 or 16 BB which will put you in a prime position to take it down with second in chips. if you fold, and you dont get another playable hand till the next level, you will prob have something like 3BB left, with that stack you have no FE,very slim chance of recovering. remember this is a winner take all.you should be looking for gambles like this when your one of the small stacks. the fact that others may get eliminated would do nothing for your chances of wiining this unless you get their chips. |

I might actually kiss my monitor before calling.
