Re: Play from the blinds: A9s
semi bluff seems ok, need to fold to reraise (unless so tiny that you have sufficient pot odds for just an OESD).

Re: Play from the blinds: A9s
I would probably bet 75 instead of 125, but maybe this is wrong.

Re: Play from the blinds: A9s
I don't like it. With the T already on the board, that J is just to likely to have helped EP limpers hand. I think you are getting called here often.
You stack size is ackward as well, right now you can probably afford the to survive the blinds (50/100) one more time, although you will still have to be pushing a wide range. If you don't win this hand, the blinds will cripple you on the next orbit. What's your plan if a brick hits on the river? |

Re: Play from the blinds: A9s
I feel like this is just spewwing chips. You're hand won't be well disguised if it does hit you may not get paid off.
pre-flop I'd push to pick add 30% to my stack. |

Re: Play from the blinds: A9s
Preflop is a dicey situation. If I've seen MP limp/fold sometime, I'd push. But my default is to just fold with 13BB.
Postflop, my default is to check/call a small bet on the turn, but if I were betting, I'd bet half pot (T75). |

I'd push pf. [/ QUOTE ] That's fine. But so is just completing. I'm not betting this turn though. Too many hands can call you. |

Re: Play from the blinds: A9s
Completing is okay, but with only one limper, unless he's shown tendency to do the old reverse gap concept crap that donks just LOVE to do, I really want those chips.
If I did complete, I wouldn't bet the turn either. |

Re: Play from the blinds: A9s
still learning so i'm not too sure...
PR i usually fold. but if i play it, i'll usually raise. with few other players (1 or 2), i like to take a shot at the pot (60-75% of pot bet) if it looks like it didn't help the others (assuming i called PF). the 10 and 8 is bordering on a "coordinated" board so i'll prolly check/fold, in this case. i used to push in this situation, but i stopped doing it cuz i think it's too early (i have enough chips) and/or my hand was not strong enough. any thoughts on which is better, pushing versus raising to say 200? thanks, jc |
