Essay request - Making deals.
I was wondering if one of the veterans players here (sirio maybe? I know you got a strong opinion about not taking chip chops when shortstacked) can help us with some sort of essay about deal making. I made a few chops already, but mostly were done blindly, without knowing if this was really the right way to chop.
I think alot of us could really use some sort of manual about this subject. Thanks in advance for anyone who's willing to take it on himself. |

Yuv,
TPFAP gives probably the best analysis of deal making you will be able to find. I recommend checking it out if you haven't yet. |

I was also interested in this, and about to make a post about it.. such things I'd be interested in are.. what should the shortstack be looking for? what should the big stack be looking for? etc etc.

Re: Essay request - Making deals.
If someone wants to write a concise paragraph on the subject, it would be a great addition to the FAQ.

Re: Essay request - Making deals.
Sklansky gives a formula for how to chop in TPFAP. It usually isn't good to make deals if you feel you are a superior player (unless the blinds are so big that skill no longer plays a major role).

[/ QUOTE ] Actually the discussion of deal-making in TPFAP is not that accurate, except for heads-up deals. Here are some threads with discussion of various points of view: http://archiveserver.twoplustwo.com/...&fpart=all http://archiveserver.twoplustwo.com/...&fpart=all http://archiveserver.twoplustwo.com/...&fpart=all http://archiveserver.twoplustwo.com/...&fpart=all http://archiveserver.twoplustwo.com/...&fpart=all http://archiveserver.twoplustwo.com/...ll#Post2732657 |
