\"Scary\" Turn vs. H@LL
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $10 BB (5 handed) converter
Hero ($1362) BB ($211) UTG ($2462.55) MP ($2388.30) Button ($1018) Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises to $40</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $120</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Button calls $80. Flop: ($250) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $200</font>, Button calls $200. Turn: ($650) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font> <font color="#CC3333">Hero...</font> I thought about checking intending to call all in, but a) was scared of Ax [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and b) didn't want to give free card to draw although his most likely holding is c) PP < QQ I think, so maybe if this read is right, I should let him try to bluff me off of KK/QQ? Not sure what I should do here |

Re: \"Scary\" Turn vs. H@LL
Bet again. He isn't chasing you with an ace, although a A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] x [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] is an upleasant possibility. I'd check call any river. Pretty much whatever else comes, as he knows precisely how scary that board is for an overpair (which you told him you have), so he knows he can use half the deck to bluff you out with. Being OOP against a tricky, aggressive opponent is a [censored] position to be in no matter how you play it.

Re: \"Scary\" Turn vs. H@LL
id check the turn. smaller pairs should be folding after you bet the ace so id prefer to check and give him a chance to try and move me off my hand. im not folding btw. why are you worried about giving him a chance to draw? he only has 2 outs against you unless hes on a flush draw.
