Flopped monster
Great flopp, but redraws
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (8 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx UTG ($28.95) UTG+1 ($122.50) MP1 ($113.20) MP2 ($71.65) CO ($198) Button ($168.80) SB ($210) Hero ($200) Preflop: Hero is BB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 1 fold</font>, UTG+1 raises to $4</font>, 1 fold</font>, MP2 calls $4, 3 folds</font>, Hero calls $2. Flop: ($13) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)</font> Hero checks, UTG+1 bets $4</font>, MP2 calls $4, Hero raises to $16</font>, UTG+1 calls $12, MP2 calls $12. Turn: ($61) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)</font> Hero bets $38</font>, UTG+1 folds, MP2 folds. How to get them to contribute more then they planned?I reasoned that the willingness to see turn and call the raise opened up for 2/3 pot bet? Final Pot: $99 |

Re: Flopped monster
sometimes you just wont be extracting any more out of them.. it's better to bet and take it down, than to check and let them catch up.
especially when there are draws that can beat your hand. |

Re: Flopped monster
Sometimes the only way to keep players in a hand is to give them the correct (or infinite) odds to call. This, of course, is bad for hero 100% of the time with a made hand that is vulnerable.
The fact that they both called your flop check raise is reason enough to bet a little more on the turn ($45-$50). As played, if villain 1 calls, villain 2 has very nice odds to call with a draw. You were not getting any more out of these guys in this case, but I think in the future you should bet closer to pot on a safe turn. |
