Re: Please tell me how badly I played this hand (AKo)
Oh... yea, i didnt see the checkraise either...
Leading out is much better here. But I'd still reraise preflop OOP, gives you a much better chance of winning the hand against a mid-pair. |

Re: Please tell me how badly I played this hand (AKo)
Here's how I would play this. PF call or reraise depends heavily on how table is playing.
Flop I check call. Turn I check call or lead out, depends. River I do the same. |

lead flop. If you go broke here or not depeends on read on villian. Likely hands he has that beat you are KQ,QQ, AA. What hands he could have that you beat depend on villian (K10, KJ, bluff, worse???)

Re: Please tell me how badly I played this hand (AKo)
My bad,
I meant to say reraise preflop to see where you are, not on the flop. Damn work getting in the way of poker! |

[/ QUOTE ] Xorbie, Can you explain why you c/c this flop? I usually lead here. Is it to keep it for pot control and being OOP? Also, to not let a c/r off our hand? |

Re: Please tell me how badly I played this hand (AKo)
I find there's no reason to break tempo on this flop. It's relatively dry, the PFR is almost always going to bet with hands that are a lot worse than yours.
