Set vs. Flush draw
My first hand posting, after like years of reading and lurking. I am new to NL after a lot of limit hands. Wonder mostly about the flop bet. How much to bet to make it wrong for the Flush draw. Is pot-sized bet enough? Can you fold the turn with confidence that an agro player will not be trying to steal pot? (Plus you do have outs if he does have a flush).
Any other comments would be appreciated. Re: Set vs. Flush draw
flop bet is fine.
i'd lead the turn for 2/3 of the pot and either call or push depending on the size of the raise. sounds like we're gonna be committed for our stack by the river so a push might be in order. meh - i dont feel confident giving advice with this hand. |

Re: Set vs. Flush draw
Unless the guy is a maniac or just crappy its a pretty obvious flush, i fold to reraise on turn(cringing of course), pot isnt really worth calling. I like a pot sized bet on flop, easier to get away from on turn. Lets say non spade hit on turn though i push.

Re: Set vs. Flush draw
Thanks, It is tough to know what to do on the turn. Figuring that he will fold most (all?) hands that are behind, and raise big if he is ahead (or wants me to think that he is ahead).
