Party Memory Leak?
I play on Party daily and this has never happened to me before. I played a SnG, when it was over I closed the table window and left the lobby window open. I went in the other room for 15 minutes and when I came back my mouse was moving extremely slow so I hit Ctrl+Alt+Del and the partypoker executable was up to 52k memory (a memory intensive game i had running was only at 32k) and was increasing by about .5k every second.
I closed it out and everything was fine, anyone else experienced this with Party? WinXP Pro P4 2.8 HT 2x 512mb corsair ram |

Re: Party Memory Leak?
I reboot every time I finish playing at Party, as it messes with the audio on my computer.
I also have noticed that it slows down greatly over time, so I wouldn't be surprised if the app caused a big memory leak. |

Re: Party Memory Leak?
There is a very good chance it does. My datamining computer once complained that the system was "out of memory" even though there is a gb of ram, and party and partymine were the only things running. This was after running for about 24 hours.

Re: Party Memory Leak?
Yeah, it's just odd that i've played 10 hour sessions with no problem, it was open for no more than 90 minutes this time.
If it happens again I'll definately contact them but im not too worried yet. |

Re: Party Memory Leak?
I used to have this problem with SNGs, and found that if I turned off the "watch" feature of SNG tracker, the problem disappeared. Assuming you use SNG tracker, if this continues, try turning off the watches and import hand histories manually at the end of your session.

Re: Party Memory Leak?
I dont.
However, 30 mins later my other apps began to do the same thing so I just rebooted. Either way it doesn't seem it was Party-related, sorry. |
