Trump Riverboat, Northwest Indiana
I spoke to a friend tonight about playing poker in northwest Indiana around Christmas. He told me that the Trump was opening a pokerroom around the first of December. Has anybody heard anything about it?

Re: Trump Riverboat, Northwest Indiana
I heard that it will open on December 15. They are supposed to have about 12 tables.
Now with some competition Harrahs in East chicago will lower their rake from $6 |

Re: Trump Riverboat, Northwest Indiana
Right. If you've played at all at Harrah's, you've noticed lately that most of the good dealers (fast, keep a handle on the action) aren't there anymore. A whole group of them got caught in some home-game scandal and got fired, so they are going over to be dealers/supervisors there. I hear the same thing, they're going to come in with a rake that's $1-$2 lower than Harrahs....about time, the service in that place isn't worth talking about..

What did the dealers do to get fired?

Something related to dealing in- or getting caught playing in some home games, possibly running them. Not sure. That's getting caught by Harrah's management not getting arrested.
