advise on middle please
I did a 10pt tease and the the first 2 games won.
I'm left heavy on the Giants +14.5 tomorrow. Should I sit on this or middle it? Thoughts anyone? |

Re: advise on middle please
You're not even talking about an even money bet here, right? Why did you put NYG in the teaser if you don't like them at +14.5?
Pinny has SEA -10.5 at +228 now, so that might be an okay middle/hedge for you, but it's not +EV and anyway, you should decide what you're going to do in this situation BEFORE you make the bet. |

Re: advise on middle please
This is not a middle; it's a hedge.
Middles are attempts to take advantage of a disparity in the line between two 'books; there is no such disparity here. Any new bet you make is seperate and totally independent from the [open portion] of your teaser. Do you think Seattle is a good value laying 4.5 ? - If you do, lay it. Ditto if you like them laying [approx.] 225 on the $ line. - If you see value lay it. * Hey - maybe you think either (or both) NYG plus 4.5 or plus 200 on the $ line is/are a good play(s). If you do - bet it. * Hedging is a personal decision that is typically done to lock in a [smaller] win when the amount of money at stake is outside your comfort level and when done for this reason does not need to be +EV. - Life insurance - whole or term - is a horrendous bet but I take no quarrel with anyone who has some. (I do) * Does this make sense to you ? * P.M. me if it doesn't and I'll have another try. Best wishes, - Chris |

Re: advise on middle please
Got it thanks! I was confused on the terminology.
I liked the Giants +14.5. I also believe the chance of winning a seahawks -4.5 and a Giants +14.5 is highly probable too. |
