Good? Bad? Ugly? JJ early in a Deepstack tourney.
I'm unused to playing this deep, which is why I'm wondering about the following hand:
Hero is UTG+1 with JJ and has 5030, Villain is UTG and covers slightly, 10/20 blinds in a $109 Deepstacks on Stars. We're six hands in, and I've never seen this guy before. UTG opens for 140, Hero calls??, 7 folds. Flop (t310): 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Villain bets 200, Hero raises to 620, Villain calls. Turn (t1550): 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Villain checks, Hero bets 720, Villain calls. River (t2990): 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Check/Check. How'd I do? Comments on all streets appreciated. |

Re: Good? Bad? Ugly? JJ early in a Deepstack tourney.
i probably reraise PF, but i like the other streets.
edit: actually, you can probably value bet the river, ,<JJ is more likely than QQ+. edit AGAIN: cancel the PF reraise, didnt see his ginormous raise. Well played (i think the value bet raise stands) |

This whole thing looks pretty good to me. You could consider just calling the flop in an effort to try and keep the pot smaller, but I like the rest quite a bit.
