Default Datamining In General

Is it evil?

1. Analyzing data from games where you were seated.

2. Analyzing data from games you observed.

3. Non-commercial sharing of data with other players.

4. Commercial trafficing in data.

The adds in the chat box are annoying. Besides this, Considering that it is all public information it should not matter if Party or anyone else cares if someone has it.

amongst the many many problems with both your line of reasoning, and poker prophecy, it is bad business for party to allow someone to advertise a service that doesn't do what it says it does to their customers, for free. it is sort of part of corporate responsibility to make an effort to stop people from abusing and defrauding your customer base.

[ QUOTE ]

What kind of legal action?

I might be way off, but I was under the impression that Party's T&C are illegal under anti-trust laws. I didn't think you could prevent someone from using any particular software just because your software was running on their computer.

[/ QUOTE ]

Given that the US Govt asserts that online poker is illegal in the US, and given Party's apparent lack of assets in US jurisdictions, it may be difficult for them to be charged with US anti-trust laws. One would imagine that if the US Govt was to go after Party, they take them on online gaming grounds rather than anything else.

You can't seek legal protection against someone who deliberately stays outside your jurisdiction.
