When to give credit (JQs 2 pair vs ??)
Limpers are 53/9/0.7 and 31/13/1.5 in that order. 3-bettor is a tight and hyper aggressive player, 15/11/4. I hit big on the flop, and appear to be ahead of AA/KK, but when do I give him credit for the case JJ or QQ hands?

I think you gave just the right amount of action. It'd be nice getting 2 or 4 Big bets out of the limpers though.

I like your play, but I doubt he had JJ.

I would have check raised the turn calling down a three bet in order to trap the other loose players.

Re: When to give credit (JQs 2 pair vs ??)
I think you should reraise the turn. There are so many players in this pot and your EQ is high enough. Arent there just 2 possible combinations of JJ and QQ out and a lot of AA/KK/AQ/AJ or even FD out there and straightdraws and all that that your opponent would raise with? I think you should cap the turn and call a raise on the river.

If we're beat, we're beat. But when we let the raiser lead, anyone with a pair and an overcard (5 outs) or drawing inside pretty much has odds to call one bet. The same decision is wrong if we have them call 2 bets at once. |

I would have check raised the turn calling down a three bet in order to trap the other loose players. [/ QUOTE ] My hand is pretty vulnerable on the turn in my opinion. With the size of the pot, I think I am making more money by forcing players out, who have possible draws against me, like AJ/AQ or gutshots, then I am from extracting more bets off them and letting them draw. |
