Standard fold?
Third hand of a 10+1$ MTT on Stars. No reads at all.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t20 (9 handed) converter MP2 (t1500) MP3 (t1480) CO (t1500) Button (t1780) SB (t1260) Hero (t1500) UTG (t1540) UTG+1 (t1440) MP1 (t1500) Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 2 folds, MP1 calls t20, 2 folds, CO raises to t60, 1 fold, SB calls t50, Hero calls t40, MP1 folds. Flop: (t200) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, Hero checks, CO bets t60, SB calls t60, Hero calls t60. Turn: (t380) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, Hero checks, CO bets t60, SB raises to t120, Hero calls t120, CO calls t60. River: (t740) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) SB bets t500, Hero folds, CO folds. Final Pot: t1240 My cold call on the turn was because I wanted to see if I could get a cheap showdown on the river. His minraise got me thinking I am beat for a cheap amount on the river it may be worth to see. Opinions? EDIT: The more I look at it, the more I think its the easiest fold ever. Should I just throw it away against his minraise? |

Re: Standard fold?
I don't have this fold in me at all.
Imagine you're a donkey SB with Tx. Imagine you're a donkey CO with Jx. How would you play? P.S. Take out the little results thing if you still can edit. |

Re: Standard fold?
why call 120 on the turn if you are going to fold to any reasonable bet on the river. you couldnt ask for a better river card. more importantly, what hands are you going to call a reasonable bet on the river with if you wont call with the 2nd nut straight on a paired board? im not following.

why call 120 on the turn if you are going to fold to any reasonable bet on the river. [/ QUOTE ] Please don't make this argument. It's perfectly reasonable to call a bet on one street and fold on another to the new information about a player's hand that you're given. |

Re: Standard fold?
In a $10 MTT, SB has been slowing playing a naked T here far too often to make me fold.
I raise the river all in as well since all T's are calling, if he has the boat so be it. Regards, Woodguy |

Re: Standard fold?
I don't think I could fold here. If I lost to a boat, or higher straight, oh well. And I'd probably raise the turn. Min raises don't scare me THAT much (not at a $10 SNG on Stars, anyway). I'm curious why you didn't raise the turn?

Re: Standard fold?
I never fold this. Most likely I reraise allin for value. I think you beat his hand 70% of the time or more.

Re: Standard fold?
I don't understand -- you played a poor starting hand with the hopes of hitting something -- you hit the 2nd nut straight with no flush possibilities and an unlikely possiblity of a boat and you want to fold? Why did we start this hand again?
