uwda - i think you played it ok, but I would have called 6th and see about improving on the river
mrb - i think a lot of times here i'll force the issue and bet 5th, check 6th if unimproved (with intent to see the showdown). Is there a reason you see check 5th, check 6th as a better line? - Mac |

your hand isn't that strong, there's a good chance opponent is laying in the weeds to c/r, so I think discretion is the better part of valor. On sixth, he didn't catch anything scary you showed weakness so he may well bet two pair, you caught his deuce, you're getting an overlay and the play on the river is pretty simple.

On 5th, he may have trips or 2 pair, but he may only have 1 pair. When you check, it looks like you have a weak hand, but you have a pair of A's, which is a good hand against his possible range of hands. I would prefer to bet 5th. Then, if I didn't get check-raised, I would bet 6th & possibly the river unimproved, too.
