I think you missed some bets. Cap preflop and I'd bet the turn because I'd bet the turn without an ace sometimes too. I think you have a pretty easy "WTF can he have" raise on the river and expect to get called by alot.

Just as a matter of course, against rmarotti this is a 100% easy cap preflop and an easy turn bet. I haven't had an absolute huge amount of hands with him, but preflop I saw him get way out of line, and postflop with some questionable stuff as well. No idea if he was on his worst game that night.

The most common reason for this turn check is that he doesn't want to get bluffed off / overcharged for the pot / diamond draw. It's rarely a sucker play. Doubly so on a 3 diamond board. Fire ze cannon.

I agree with this. I think this check is TT/99 with a diamond, or KK/QQ, KJ. I bet the turn.

I think he had KJ here if he 3bets with that.

I am disgusted by this turn check. Allows him to fold easily when the 4th diamond hits. There's nothing to be extracted here, just bet the turn and let him call down with his pocket.
