Re: turn spew stars 30
the problem with not raising the flop is if something like a T slides off on the turn, you have a tough time staying in the pot if there's a raise. I like taking a stand right there. if you don't let them know you liek your hand they'll try to push you off it. i like your line against less aggressive players

Re: turn spew stars 30
I'm surprised everyone expects your hand to be good enough of the time here. BB's play looks like AJ etc. to me, and SB has just bet into two people twice.
Dunno if anyone has time to humor me, but I'd be interested to see some hand ranges bandied about. |

Re: turn spew stars 30
ok for sb its pretty much A7+ K9+ QT+ 55ish+. He is betting flop and turn both with all of those hands. He also may have some 78s or 9To type hands thrown into his range.
BB's range is much tougher to get a feel for. Not sure about his calling standards preflop but I would think it would be 44+ A9+ KT+. He cant have AQ+ or TT+ though as I think he would cap these hands preflop. I think hes observant enough to realize SB's range is pretty wide. When he just calls the flop though wtf can he have? KQ, a set (I guess), maybe A3s or something like that. I would really expect him to raise a top pair hand here on the flop given that he can knock me out and a J is likely to be good against the majority of sb's range. When he raised the turn I didnt understand what he could have. so i raised too! |

Re: turn spew stars 30
47/38/1.5 is quite different than 30/20/1.5, in terms of the meaning of a 1.5AF. If you gave the name of the BB it would help but vs. most guys with that stat line in that game I am folding in your spot. Especially if I am winning (given the trap line of the BB).

sb folds bb calls, river goes check check and he has Ac 9s.
So it worked this time, but I'm still not sure at all about raising the flop vs turn. |
