Ugly Overpair OOP
50 NL, no read, although he seemed decently tight.
I have T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in SB. He opens for 2$ on button, I call. I don't reraise here with TT, because I'm going to be seeing overcards a lot, and continuation bets on broadway flops HU in a blind steal situation are notoriously ineffective. Pot 4$ Flop 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] -- I bet 4$, he raises to 8$, I puke and? Stacks; 40$ behind now. |

Re: Ugly Overpair OOP
Reraise preflop. You have an equity edge preflop and need to push it. As played, I'd typically checkraise this flop, but leading is fine. You have no reason to believe your pair isn't good here. I'd call and lead turn strongly.

Re: Ugly Overpair OOP
at 50nl this opponent is NOT pushing back. He will call. and we will be oop on a tough turn. Reraise=the suck.
Call, 2/3 pot turn or fold. |

Re: Ugly Overpair OOP
You either reraise or fold. If you reraise and then get reraised then you fold, or you can just fold now.
