Dell 9300 question - urgent!
How critical is it to upgrade the video card? The standard is the 64 meg... is it worth $100 to get the 128 meg?

I got the true life screen whatever it is WUXGA or something but didn't upgrade the video card and have no problems. the picture is great you'll love it. congrats

It really depends on what you want to do with the system. If you're not doing anything graphic-intensive, then 64m is probably fine.
I'd spend the extra $100, though. But, I like to play the occasional video game. Also, I think $100 is a pretty small price to pay for an extra bit of security (the peace of mind sort); you're not going to be able to pop in a new video card if you not satisfied with video performance. My laptop has only 64meg card, and I've not had any problems with it. But, I mainly use it for light poker playing, word processing, and video playback. Your requirements may vary. |
