Re: Poker Stars $10+1r. I am confused
No reads, button limp, call a BB raise?
For various reasons, I don't see any sane player playing 22, 44, QQ, Q4, Q2, or 42 this way. Or AQ for that matter. I've seen guys play AA this way. They are probably mostly losing players but I've seen it many times. This more likely seems like JdTd or QcJc "needed to see the flop" I'd probably call here. Huge overlay in the pot considering all possibilities I think you win 50% here at showdown. |

Result, this is what really made me confused
Villain had 22.
Is it reasonable for him to call my pf raise? I really want to know what you think of his whole line of play. Personally I think the push by him is interesting; it really put me in a tough spot. Would you seriously consider pushing all-in here with a flushdraw semibluff? Oh by the way, I went to the fridge, but Jesus wasn´t there, so I called... |

Sets happen, and there isn't much you can do except make a note on the player "plays bottom set fast".

Go to the fridge and unless Jesus is actually sitting there telling you to fold, run back and call this. [/ QUOTE ] And by Jesus, meaning Christ not Ferguson. |

Re: Poker Stars $10+1r. I am confused
Call. Everytime. Expect to be shown AQ or maybe if you are lucky KQ.
Saw the results - sets suck, but what can you do. YOU played it well. He made a mistake (slight) calling your raise but he did it knowing that they only reason he calls is to do exactly what he did - flop a set and crush you. If no 2 on the flop, he is gone. I dont hate his play. I am not crazy about the all in move by him either. I would have called, and let you bet into me again, then dropped the hammer. Or I might have miniraised you on the flop. Praying that you pushed over me. |
