Default all in with k8o

from the bodog 100K today,
blinds are 600/300 i have just 2K in chips,
im in before CO with K8o,i riase all in to try to steal blinds,
is it ok to try this most of the time when you are called you are beat so is it too risky?
should i have waited for better hands?
i thought i had to try something before i had to pay the 600 blind

[ QUOTE ]
when you are called you are beat

[/ QUOTE ]Far from true all the time. Button calls you with a strong Ace that's not AK and you're pretty much getting the right odds. SB comes over the top or BB calls you with 77, 66 or even lower (and yes, I see that again and again) and you're definitive in good shape.

Stack sizes and reads on remaining players to act are crucial here.

But in general, it's a must push.

Best,

McMelchior (Johan)
