[ QUOTE ] Nothing wrong with calling that flop with AK sometimes, on a combination of (might have the best hand/can take it from a better hand later/can improve to the best hand). I find it odd that you didn't bet the turn though. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] Same here. |

Re: \"It\'s just a CBet\"
Your line (re-raise pre, pot flop) is my standard line. But sometimes I do things a little differently. Like, say, I might decide to not re-raise pre-flop because, you know, whatever. And then obviously once that flop hits I'm not folding, but maybe I don't like raising because this guy won't fold a pair to the raise and it's cheaper just to call the flop and bet the turn if he checks because if he checks the turn then he's folding when I bet. All this hinges on the assumption that he won't fire a second barrel with less than AK, of course.
My same here comment was referring to my curiosity at the lack of a turn bet, shared with Yeti. |

Re: \"It\'s just a CBet\"
I dont mind the flop call. You have most likley 6 outs ... and you could be ahead at this point. Its a close decision between raising and calling. Id say Id be raising 60% of the time, calling 30%, and folding 10%. On the turn, though, fire another bet at it. It looks like a Cbet, or a bet with a small pocket pair, get him out of there.
