Flop the nuts, how to maximize
Villain (pf reraiser) is very tight, and hence I knew he had either AA KK or QQ by his pf reraise from the BB. Figured it'd be a good time to stack him when I hit a flop. Oh, I hit it:
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed) internettexasholdem.com MP2 ($115.35) MP3 ($99.80) CO ($205.40) Button ($94.40) Hero ($299.70) BB ($100) UTG ($109.80) UTG+1 ($215.60) UTG+2 ($87.30) MP1 ($89.85) Preflop: Hero is SB with j[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], t[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $0.50. 2 folds, UTG+2 raises to $3, 5 folds, Hero (poster) calls $2.50, BB raises to $9, UTG+2 calls $7, Hero calls $7. Flop: ($30) q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], k[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero?? C/r? Lead/3bet? best way to possibly bring along the other player? |

[/ QUOTE ] if you know he'll attack the pot with a set or overpair then perhaps you should c/r. unless you're positive i'd probably throw down a 1/2-2/3 bet. |

KK/QQ sticks around for sure obviously, and AA would often call at least one bet. Folks get married to that hand pretty easily and I don't think he folds it as easily as you think. |

Any read on UTG +2?
A C/R looks good here. |

Re: Flop the nuts, how to maximize
Bet the flop and hope to get raised. Then push all in.
If you check, there is the danger of him checking behind with KK (trips) and losing action or getting drawn out on. ie. if the board pairs then he is getting the money in with the best of it, and if a jack ten or club comes it may kill the action and keep the pot small. |

Re: Flop the nuts, how to maximize
I led for $20, BB raised to $50, UTG+2 folded, I reraised all in...
BB shows red aces, hits boat on the turn when A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] falls. river: K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], completing my Royal Flush |
