I still don't buy the argument that all these supposed 'miracle river cards' would actually increase their profit.

lots of times in cash-games, they come after the rake has already been maxed. Thus, a miracle river-card just increases the action and delays the next hand...thus, actually HURTING their profits.

In SNG's and MTT's I don't see how miracle river-cards help their profits...although the argument has been made that the winning players are going to keep playing anyway, so let the fish win to keep them playing too.
Something like that.
I don't buy it though.

Anyway...nice to have you back Gabby.

Here is the way I see it.. In low limit NL games the river can push up the rake. Also I was thinking today about tournaments.. Common logic would dictate there would be no benefit of them rigging any of those games.

Before I continue let me share with you how these sites make money. They make money from collecting rake. It would be extremely counterproductive if one person knocked out the other 9 in a cash game. They want everyone playing and with money. Not just one person, since they don't make rake with just one person at the table.

Ok I will continue about tournaments.. So say you have a guy who is up about 2 grand for the week. Then you have another who is down about 500 and is about to go broke. It would be in the sites best interest to let the poor guy win a few bucks in a tourney so he can continue playing in some cash games. REMEMBER, the sites only make money when everyone is playing. In reality they don't want anyone to bust out. They would love for the money to get shuffled around and around and around until their rake eats up most of it.

Good to see you too Bob.

this is gold... pure gold...

do you realize sites make more in rake when less players are at the table?

I think he was actually replying to OP unlike yourself lmao. Why not just start a new thread? Your comments are completely off topic.

OP, that is pretty amazing, and upped my respect for PS support although it was already very high.
