AQo out of position against LP raise
.5-$1 NL
I have AQo in the BB. Everyone folds around to CO-1 who raises to 4. SB folds, I call. Pot (~8) Flop is Q 3 4 rainbow. I check, he bets 7, I call - hoping to lead out on the turn(is this what you would call a blocker bet?) Pot (~32) Turn is K I no longer can bet, so I check, he checks Pot (~32) River is a blank I check, he bets $40. |

Re: AQo out of position against LP raise
That King might have scared him as much as it scared you. I see no reason why to not continue with your plan and lead the turn. I might check raise this flop though and then lead the turn because on a flop like this you are ahead way more often than not.

Re: AQo out of position against LP raise
From my experience, it just seems like MOST people at this level actually do have a legitimate raising hand when they raise, even if everyone has folded behind. I put him on JJ-AA, KQ, KJ, AK, AQ, AJ. However, that turn check and then river over-bet had me all confused. Villain has been playing pretty normally up until this point.

Re: AQo out of position against LP raise
The turn check on the king is one of two things.
Either Qx or KK (small possibility of KQ). The river overbet indicates that it was KK. Am I right? PM me if you saw the showdown. |

Pretty easy river fold I think. I think a flop CR may have been a better line.
